John Houk carded four birdies and is tied for first at 3 under through nine.
Braedon Wear is tied for eighth through seven with a birdie and six pars.
Paul Conroy and
Garrett Engle got off to even-par starts, while
Samuel Espinosa is close by at 1 over.

The Mocs are second overall at 4 under. Clemson leads at 5 under with host College of Charleston third at minus
Three. Play resumes at 8 a.m., Tuesday morning with all teams completing the opening before moving immediately into a final 18 as the event is shortened to 36 holes.
