CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- The Chattanooga Mocs softball team opens the 2024 season Thursday against host Louisiana at the 38^th Annual Louisiana Classics in Lafayette, La.
 
The Mocs will face off against #21 Louisiana on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. Eastern time. Friday starts with the Mocs and California at Noon. UTC and the Ragin' Cajuns will close out the day at 5:00 p.m. On Saturday, UTC will face New Mexico at 12:00 p.m. and turnaround to play Cal at 2:30 p.m.
 
Live stats are available for all games. UTC's games against Louisiana will be streamed online at ESPN+. Links are available online at GoMocs.com on the softball schedule page.
 
This will be the first meeting for Chattanooga with all three teams. The Ragin' Cajuns earned a #21 ranking in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Preseason Poll.
 
Chattanooga was picked to finish fourth in the Southern Conference coaches preseason poll. Addy Keylon was named to the league's preseason all-conference first team. Peja Goold, Olivia Lipari, Kaili Phillips and Jayce Purdy were all selected to the second team.
