Tuesday Softball Game vs. Georgia State Postponed

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- Due to inclement weather forecast for the Chattanooga area at game time Tuesday, the Chattanooga Mocs softball game against Georgia State is rescheduled for Tuesday, April 30 at Frost Stadium.
The Mocs are 13-7 and on a four-game win streak after claiming the Adam Brown Memorial Shamrock Classic title. UTC beat Central Arkansas and Saint Francis in four games over the weekend.
In the opener against the host Bears, the Mocs won 5-0 and repeated the score the next day against Saint Francis. In the second game against Central Arkansas, the Mocs got a run late to break a 4-4 tie and claim the win. On the final day, UTC beat the Red Flashes in a five-inning game by a 13-4 margin. UTC put up 13 runs in the first three innings and Saint Francis scored its four in the fifth.
Chattanooga currently leads the Southern Conference with a .299 batting average and is second with 89 runs on the year. Kendall Forsythe is fifth in the standings with a .407 batting average and Kailey Snell is 12th at .340. Olivia Lipari has a team-best four home runs while Forsythe has three home runs and a team-best four doubles, 14 RBI and a .714 slugging percentage.
The Mocs will hit the road for its fifth and final regular season tournament this weekend at The Spring Games in Madeira Beach, Fla. Play begins for the Mocs Friday, March 8 at 10:00 a.m. against Troy followed by a 12:30 p.m. matchup against Columbia. UTC will take on Central Michigan and LIU on Saturday and conclude Sunday against Manhattan.
