MOREHEAD, Ky. --- Chattanooga beach volleyball is already on a historic ride through the 2024 season, and now the Mocs have the opportunity to create more history this weekend with UTC traveling to Morehead, Kentucky for the 2024 Ohio Valley Conference Tournament.
Set to run April 25-27 at the facilities of host Morehead State, the tournament will feature all six members of the league and will follow a double elimination format up until the eventual championship match. The tournament winner will receive the OVC's automatic bid for the NCAA Tournament.
The Mocs enter the tournament as the No. 2 seed despite being one of the OVC's co-regular season champions, with No. 1 seed UT Martin holding the tiebreaker over UTC. Every match at this weekend's tournament is set to be streamed on ESPN+ with live stats coverage also being available to fans.
Chattanooga's first match of the weekend is slated for 4 p.m. ET on Thursday, April 25 against the winner of No. 3 seed Lindenwood and No. 6 seed Eastern Illinois' match from earlier in the day. A win for the Mocs would put them into the pseudo-OVC Semifinals, which are to be played at 2 p.m. ET on Friday. The winner of that match would find themselves in the OVC title game on Saturday, while the loser would be required to try to battle back through the loser's bracket.
