CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- The Chattanooga soccer Mocs fell 1-0 to UNC Greensboro at home on a drizzly Sunday afternoon at Finley Stadium. The loss drops UTC to 2-6-3 on the year and 1-2 in Southern Conference action. The Spartans improve to 3-5-3 overall and 2-0-1 against the conference.

It was a defensive struggle on the pitch. The Mocs outshot UNCG 9-7 and had a 5-2 shots on goal advantage.
Caroline Richvalsky had four shots. Her first two shots in the opening 11 minutes of play were on goal.
Kelly Tuerff knocked a shot off the crossbar in the first half and
Sophia Mize's shot was stopped by the Spartan keeper who had five saves.

UNCG scored the lone goal of the match in the 59
th minute. Ava Kiss took a pass from Merle Greulich into the box and lofted a shot to the far post and into the left side of the net.

Chattanooga will travel to Macon, Ga., Thursday, October 3 to take on Mercer in league action.
