First Thought: "Proud of the guys for their fight today. We beat some top teams in the country. We have to build off this and get ready for tomorrow's final round." – Coach Blaine Woodruff

The Rundown
  • As mentioned above, the 3-under 68 is a new career-low total for Johnson. 3 under matches his best vs par coming five rounds ago to start the Steelwood Collegiate.
  • Johnson is averaging 71.6 strokes per 18 over his last five cards.
  • Aidan Cohl's level-par 71 is his first collegiate par or better 18.
  • 18 birdies on the counting cards ties for second most this season behind 20 in the second round of the Steelwood Collegiate.
  • The second round is where the Mocs have been at their best in 2024-25 with a 289.0 average over the five tournaments. The first and third to date are a combined 296.89.
  • The Mocs shot par or better on 55.6 of the holes they played on Monday with seven birdies and 33 pars. They turned it around with 18 birdies and 36 pars playing par or better 75 percent of the time.
  • Another key to the turnaround was limiting the big scores. There was just one tally above bogey in round two after six in the first round.
