Rusty Wright, head coach

Opening statement after 42-38 victory over ETSU.
"It was a good win. We talked last night in our team meeting. We wanted to turn it loose and play with reckless abandon. We wanted to see what that looked like. Two weeks ago when we went to VMI, we needed to feel a win like that. A win where they had to fight on the road and get it done. They had to turn it loose and play without fear. That was a physical game. That is a talented bunch over there on the other side of the field. As crazy and as whacky as it got, we played until the end. I'm proud of those kids and those coaches."

On where this ranks personally in crazy games.
"To be honest, I have to take a step back tonight and figure that out. That was awesome. You try to push all the right buttons along the way, and you wonder if you make the right calls and decisions. It was awesome. Is it a rivalry game? I guess. We just needed to win and find ways to win. We did that."

On what flipped.
"We just started doing things a little better. I told them that at halftime. We're an OK football team, we're not something crazy special. But, if our kids go play with nothing to lose, good things are going to happen to them. Our kids did that and that's great. This group is growing. They're a young bunch and we had a lot of tough learning moments early this year. They're figuring out ways to fight and do things the right way."

Camden Orth, QB-Gr.
On coming out prepared today.
"We've been preaching consistency and we did that well early in this game. That's something we put emphasis on. The defense came up with some big stops down the stretch that obviously helps us."

On the final play.
"I had no doubt that we were going to do what we needed to do. Jamarii made a great play and we got it done when it mattered."

Jamarii Robinson, WR-Sr.
On the final TD play.
"I wanted to score. When we got out there, I saw the cover two, and I figured they would take Markell [Quick] since he was playing so well. They did and I was proud to be ready and there to make a play."

On this team's fight.
"We don't have a quit in us. No matter what the score is, we're going to fight and get back in it. This was a confidence booster. This one is over and it's on to the next week to try and get better."

Jude Kelley, K-Sr.
On the fake FG touchdown.
"That was something we put in recently, just to have in our back pocket in case we needed it. I never thought we would run it, but when it was called, I said let's go. My only knowledge of scoring touchdowns and celebrations is what I see on RedZone. I didn't want to get a flag."

On what this win meant for the team.
"This is a testament to who we are. We had some tough moments this year. It's all about learning and growing, and our coaches do a great job of allowing us to do that."
