First Look
The Chattanooga Mocs men's golf team put together its best team round of the season with a 5-under 283 to open play at the Fallen Oak Collegiate. The Mocs are in sixth, one shot behind No. 5 Arkansas and one clear of No. 18 Illinois in the power-packed event on Fallen Oak at Beau Rivage.
 
Breakdown

• 5 under team score is the lowest vs par this season.
• 283 is second best total behind 1-over 281 to open the year at the Visit Knoxville Collegiate in Loudon, Tenn.
• Ward Harris' 68 is a career low round as is Griffin Law's 69. The duo were supported by an even-par 72 by Ethan Whitaker and 74 from Evan Rogers for the team tally.
• Harris posted seven birdies playing the par 3s at 3 under. The Mocs were 5 under as a team on the par 3s and par 5s while shooting 5 over on the 4s.
• Law's was a bogey-free card with three birdies and 15 pars.
• The counting cards had 19 birdies with Rogers matching Harris' total of seven.
• Made the turn at 2 under as a team behind Harris' 4-under start. He was 5 under through 15 before finishing bogey-birdie-bogey for his 68.
• All three of Law's birdies came in succession on holes 13-15.
