About the Mocs
  • You can call it a streak. Three straight wins for the Mocs. Eighth straight season with at least one 3-game (or better) win streak which is one off the school record of nine set from 1977-85 under three different coaches (Joe Morrison, Bill Oliver & Buddy Nix).
  • Coach Rusty Wright has had at least one 3-game win streak every season. His 7-year stretch is the longest by a single coach. The team had a 9-season run from 1977-1985 under Joe Morrison, Bill Oliver & Buddy Nix.
  • 61-30-4 all-time in Homecoming matchups. 6-2 vs. Western Carolina.
  • Fourth in the nation in red zone offense (95.2%). Scored TDs on 76.2 percent of entries (16/21).
  • Chattanooga's top-ranked SoCon pass defense for yards allowed (218.9) & pass efficiency (129.42) will be put to the test by the Cats high-octane attack.
  • Offensive line is now second in the league in sacks (1.38) & TFLs allowed (4.9). The average was 8.5 TFL after two games but down to 3.8 TFL over the last six including a season-low 2.0 at VMI. There were six sacks in the first two but just five since with one the last three weeks.
  • Back-to-back games with zero turnovers on offense. +4 in TO margin over that span. -5 in the first six games (10/5).
  • RB Solomon Locke had 115 yards on five fourth quarter carries at Samford with two TDs. He's the fourth different 100-yard rusher for the Mocs this season, most for any FCS squad.
