First Look
The Chattanooga Mocs men's golf team turned the page in a strong way in the second round of the Marquette Intercollegiate at Erin Hills. The squad improved 21 strokes and moved halfway up the leaderboard into sixth behind today's 293. That gives the squad a 2-day total of 607 which is three behind Florida (604) in fifth and two ahead of Rutgers in seventh.
 
Breakdown

• The Mocs 293 is tied for the third lowest by the squad in 2025 (8 cards).
• Chattanooga was 5 under through 11 holes. It took advantage of the par 5 1st which played as the group's 10th hole Monday. Five of the Mocs six in the field scored birdies there to get to 3 under.
• Holes 12-15 (3-6) took a toll with an 8 over tally.
• The group finished strong with an even-par run over the final three holes.
• Griffin Law was the low man today with a 1-under 71. Dalton Burts and Ethan Whitaker came in at even-par 72s while first round co-leader Camden Braidech added 78 to the counting cards.
• Law and Braidech are leading the way through 36 holes. They're tied for 16th at 151.
• Freshman Conner Brummitt's 3-under 69 was the low round of the day for the squad playing as an individual. Brummitt moved into a tied for 24th overall with Burts.
• 13 birdies today nearly doubled the total from round one (7).
• 7 under on the par 5s.
• The Mocs six had a 73.5 scoring average today. That was a 6.33 improvement over Sunday's start.
