Game week 11 starts with good news from near and far. Saturday's debut start for redshirt freshman Battle Alberson caught the eye with national and conference player of the week awards coming his way. It started with the morning's news of his Stats Perform National Freshman of the Week nod followed by the afternoon announcement of Battle's first Southern Conference Player of the Week award.

First Word
"It was an impressive performance from a freshman making his first start. The offensive staff did a great job putting him in a position to succeed, and the players responded and played well around him. He made some impressive throws and reads too. It was a good one to build on." – Coach Rusty Wright
