CHATTANOOGA (November 14, 2025) --- The Chattanooga Mocs men's basketball team continues its early-season road swing with the first of two games within the SoCon-ASUN Challenge, traveling to Florida Gulf Coast for a Saturday afternoon contest in Fort Myers, Florida. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m. (ET) on ESPN+ inside Alico Arena.
 
Chattanooga (1-2) heads to FGCU for its third of four-straight road games following last week's west coast doubleheader at Saint Mary's (CA) and UNLV. The Mocs look to bounce back from a pair of losses in those games with its first-ever meeting against the famously-known 'Dunk City' program in FGCU (1-2).

LAST TIME OUT
Chattanooga (1-2) struggled from start to finish during a 101-69 defeat at UNLV last Saturday in Last Vegas. UTC was whistled for 29 fouls while suffering a -22 (42-20) margin on the boards, its largest since a -23 (46-23) split at Auburn on December 30, 2023.
 
SCOUTING FGCU
Florida Gulf Coast suffered a back-and-forth, shootout defeat at home to Georgia Southern, 95-94, last time out on Tuesday night. FGCU fell at No. 17 Illinois, 113-70, last week for its first loss off the season after opening with a 96-60 win over New College of Florida (NAIA). FGCU (19-15 in 24-25) returns seven players from last year's team led by F Michael Duax & G Rahmir Barno.
 
WILD, WILD WEST
Chattanooga played consecutive nights in two different states last week beginning with a Friday night (7:30PM PT) tilt at Saint Mary's (CA) and ending with a Saturday night (6PM PT) matchup at UNLV. The sequence marked the first time in the program's DI era (since '77-78) playing consecutive nights in different states during non-conference play.
 
MOCS & EAGLES FOR FIRST TIME
Chattanooga & FGCU will meet for the first time Saturday afternoon in the Sunshine State. UTC enters the contest with a 51-41 all-time mark against current ASUN members, however, the Mocs have dropped four of its last five against the current landscape of the ASUN. The game marks the first of two within the second annual SoCon/ASUN Challenge.
 
ROAD SUCCESS AMONG THE BEST
Chattanooga is 47-31 (.603) in true road games since 2020 with the 47 wins accounting for the most across NCAA Division I basketball over that span. UTC went 12-5 in road games in 2024-25 which tied a school record for most road wins in a single season (2021-22).
