TEAM
- This was the 95th meeting between Chattanooga and Furman.
- UTC leads the all-time series 63-32.
- It also marked the 11th time that these two programs have met in the SoCon Tournament.
- The last time came in 2023, when UTC defeated Furman 63-52 in the SoCon Tournament Quarterfinals.
- UTC is now 7-4 when playing Furman in the postseason.
- Chattanooga's all-time SoCon Tournament record moves to 68-21.
- Chattanooga's all-time SoCon Tournament record as a No. 2 seed moves to 11-2.
- This is the sixth time that the Mocs have come into the SoCon Tournament as the No. 2 seed.
- The last time the Mocs were the No. 2 seed was in 2023.
- UTC has won the SoCon Tournament as the No. 2 seed three times in program history: 2023, 2016 and 1992.
- Deandra Schirmer is now 2-0 in SoCon Tournament games.
- The Mocs have now won their last eight SoCon Tournament games dating back to a SoCon Quarterfinal win back in 2023 that started the streak
- The last Chattanooga loss in the SoCon Tournament came back in 2022 (Furman def. Chattanooga 70-63 (OT) in the 2022 SoCon Quarterfinals).
- UTC will now play at 12 p.m. ET on Sunday, March 9 in the SoCon Tournament Championship game.
- They will play No. 1 seed UNCG.
- Chattanooga is 20-0 all-time when playing in the SoCon title game.
- Deandra Schirmer is just the third head coach in program history to lead the Mocs to a top-two seed in the SoCon Tournament in their first season with the program.
- She joins Shawn Poppie (2022-23) and Jim Foster (2013-14).
- Coach Schirmer went with the following starting five: Caia Elisaldez, Sigrun Olafsdottir, Karsen Murphy, Gianna Corbitt and Brooke Anya.
- The Mocs are now 13-8 when playing that starting five this season.
- UTC out-shot Furman from the floor (46-38 percent) and from three (40-11 percent).
- The Mocs won the turnover battle, forcing 17 while committing 15.
- This led to UTC scoring 21 points off turnovers compared to Furman's 12.
- The two teams finished nearly even on paints in the paint, with the Mocs having 30 while the Paladins had 32.
- Furman made the first basket of the game at the 9:45 mark, and by the 9:14 mark the Mocs tied the game. That was the last time Furman led in the contest.

- Checked into her 17th game in a UTC jersey.
- Marks her 92nd career game played.

Takia Davis, Sr., F/C
- Appeared in her 24th game of the season.
- Has now played in 93 games in her career (72 with the Mocs).
- Grabbed one rebound.

Sigrun Olafsdottir, Sr., G/F
- Made her 146th career start (all with the Mocs).
- Played in her 149th career game (all with the Mocs).
- Holds the program record for most games played in program history (149 and counting).
- Also holds the program record for most career starts (146 and counting).
- Olafsdottir is also three appearances away from tying David Jean-Baptiste and AJ Caldwell for the most games played by a men's OR women's basketball player in UTC history (152).
- Ended up grabbing two steals in the win.
- With her at 200 career steals she sits tied for seventh place on program's all-time steals list.
- She's now two shy of tying Nicole Mattison (2002-06) and Jan Cameron (1990-94) for fifth all-time in program history.
- Officially logged her 69th steal of the season.
- She's the first Moc since 2013-14 to record 69+ steals in a single season.
- Ended up with eight points, three rebounds and two assists.
- Played in all 40 minutes of the game, her 19th time playing in every minute of a game this season.

Caia Elisaldez, So., G
- Made her 27th start of the season, 30th of her career.
- Appeared in her 28th game of the season, 61st of her career.
- Put together a 16-point outing for the Mocs, finishing 7-for-12 (58.3 percent) from the floor.
- Has been a double-digit scorer 22 times this season. 26 times in her career.
- Also led the Mocs in assists, finishing with five.
- This is the 20th time leading UTC in assists this season.
- Also brought down five rebounds.
- This marks her fifth-straight game finishing with 4+ rebounds.

Frode Flos van der Schans, RSo., F/C
- Checked into her 27th game of the season. 37th of her career.
- Nearly bested her career-high for scoring, finishing with eight points (one point shy of her career-high of nine).
- Was perfect from the floor, going three-for-three on field goals.
- Brought down three rebounds for the Mocs as well.

Ava Card, Fr., G/F
- Appeared in her 27th game of her rookie campaign.
- Logged two rebounds and a steal in the win.

Gianna Corbitt, Fr., F
- Made her 27th career start for the Mocs.
- Appeared in her 29th game of the season.
- Finished just shy of her sixth-career double-double, going for nine points and nine rebounds.
- Her rebounding total marked a team-high, and is the 20th time she's led the Mocs in the stat this season.
- Also led UTC in steals after swiping away four.
- This is the fifth time this season that Corbitt has led the team in steals.
- Recorded a pair of assists as well.

Brooke Anya, Gr., F/C
- Made her 24th start for the Mocs (82nd start of her career).
- Appeared in her 134th career game (29th as a Moc).
- Ended her day with four points and three rebounds.

Karsen Murphy, Sr., F/C
- Made her 71st career start (all with the Mocs).
- Played in her 132nd career game (120th as a Moc).
- Led the Mocs in scoring with 18 points on a 6-for-10 shooting clip.
- This included going 4-for-5 from three-point range.
- This marks the fourth time this season that Murphy made 4+ threes in a single game.
- This is her 14th time scoring 10+ points in a game this season. 22nd time of her career.
- She has now led UTC in scoring five times this season.
- Murphy also finished with a team-leading two blocks.
- Added four rebounds, a steal and an assist to her stat line.
- Played in all 40 minutes of the game for UTC, her fifth time doing so this season.
