CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- The Chattanooga women's outdoor track and field team is set to compete this Friday and Saturday at the Georgia Tech Invitational on the Atlanta campus.
 
"We're looking forward to competing this weekend down at Georgia Tech as we put in our final touches prior to the SoCon Championship in May," Mocs assistant coach Patrick Gildea said. "The meet will be very competitive, so it'll give us a good chance to get in one more strong effort before the conference meet at Samford.
 
"We'll welcome the sprint women back into the mix and that'll definitely give us a boost down in Atlanta."
 
Friday's events get started at 5:30 p.m. with Stella Henry in the long jump. She set a personal record in the event at the Lee University Invitational last month with a jump of 5.70 meters (18' 8.5"). She will also get Saturday's events started with the triple jump. She reached a PR 11.70 meters (38' 4.75") at the Lee Fast Break Invitational two weeks ago.
 
On the track, Ryleigh Simmons will run the 100 meter dash Friday night. On Saturday, she and Ava McGue will run the 200 meter dash. They each posted top best times in their respective events at the Tennessee Invite.
 
The 1500 meter run is the third event for the Mocs on Friday with Leah Boyd, Andrea Ellis, Lesley Boyd, Anna Roberson, Audrey Wade and Maddie Wheatcroft. EV McGowan will compete in the 3000 meter Steeplechase and Aubrey Park will wrap up the day in the 5000 meter run.
 
After the triple jump, the Mocs 4x100 meter team (Sarah Unterholzner, Ava McGue, Norah Haney, Ryleigh Simmons) gets things moving on the track Saturday morning. Unterholzner moves on to the 400 meter hurdles and Lexi Foley will run the 800 meter.
 
McGue and Simmons wrap up the individual events with the 200 meter and Unterholzner, Haney, Taylor Crawford, McGue (alt. Adelaide McKeown) close out the meet with the 4x400 meter relay.
