CHATTANOOGA (April 3, 2025) – The Chattanooga Mocs men's tennis team will return to the courts to conclude its home schedule with another weekend of Southern Conference action when the Mocs host Furman on Friday and Wofford on Saturday.
The Mocs will face Furman at 2 p.m. on Friday, and Saturday's Senior Day action against Wofford will kick off at 11 a.m. Both matchups will be held at the UTC Tennis Center on campus in Chattanooga, Tenn., weather permitting. PROMOTION – Senior Day. The program will recognize seniors Gabriel Castillo and Ryan Mudre on Saturday with a pre-match ceremony. Trading cards of the two seniors will also be available from the marketing table at the facility entrance.

Scouting Chattanooga
Chattanooga saw a tough 6-1 SoCon loss to in-state rival ETSU last Saturday. The Mocs opened SoCon play with a 7-0 sweep over The Citadel back on March 15, but have since fallen to Samford, Mercer, and now ETSU. This brings them to 10-10 overall and 1-3 in conference standings, and Chattanooga will be looking to snap its three-match skid to end the home slate on a high note.
Scouting Furman
Furman comes into the weekend after snapping its six-match skid with a 7-0 shutout of Emmanuel on Saturday. The Paladins are 6-12 overall and 2-2 in SoCon play after a 4-1 loss to Mercer on Wednesday. Furman opened its league slate in February with two 7-0 wins over The Citadel and UNCG before falling to Samford 4-3 on March 11. The Mocs dropped a 4-3 decision the last time the two teams met on March 30, 2024.
Scouting Wofford
Wofford enters Saturday's matchup following a 5-2 win over Ouachita Baptist on Thursday and a 7-0 SoCon sweep over The Citadel on Saturday. Like the Mocs, the Bulldogs are 1-3 in conference play after falling to Samford, ETSU, and UNCG. Wofford is 6-9 overall and had previously dropped its last six matches before Thursday. The Mocs have won the past six meetings in the series with Wofford, including the latest 4-3 victory back on March 29, 2024.
