SETTING THE SCENE
- The Chattanooga Mocs rolled to a 63-0 win over Stetson Saturday evening in Finley Stadium…the Mocs are now 1-2, while the Hatters move to 1-2.
- 79-36-3 in home openers all-time…17-11 in Finley Stadium.
- First all-time matchup against a Pioneer League opponent.
- 12-6-1 vs. the current membership of the Pioneer League: Dayton (5-4-1) & Presbyterian (6-2).
- Third of four straight non-conference matchups…2021 (Austin Peay, at North Alabama, at Kentucky) is the last time the non-conference portion was cleared before beginning conference play.
- First 1-2 start since 2021 with losses to Austin Peay (20-30) and at Kentucky (23-28) sandwiching the 20-0 blanking of North Alabama…also started 1-2 in the 2014 SoCon Championship season while reaching the FCS Playoffs Quarterfinal round.

- Coach
Rusty Wright led the Mocs out for the 67th time as head coach…his is the sixth-longest tenure by games in the history of the program breaking a tie with his former head coach as a player, Buddy Green (1994-99) at 66…fifth place is Rodney Allison with 68 while Joe Morrison (1973-79) looms in fourth with 77.
- The Mocs scored on the first five times they had the ball including AJ Little's first quarter punt return for score.
- 445 yards rushing fell just 23 yards short of the school record of 468 set on Nov. 7, 1931…it's the 6th-highest total in school history and most since 456 at The Citadel on Nov. 5, 1994…highest total in Finley Stadium.
- 8.1 yards per carry (55-455) is a new school record…tops 7.81 (47-367) in the Nov. 3, 2012 win over Western Carolina.
- 539 yards of total offense on 69 plays (7.8 yds/snap)…most yards since 567 in last year's win over Portland State on Sept. 28.
- Five rushing touchdowns ties for 15th most in the record book…seven shy of the 1920 performance of 12 against Carson-Newman (Oct. 30).
- Defense was just as stout…allowed just 126 yards of offense on 56 plays (2.2 yds/snap)…fewest yards since 120 by ETSU on Oct. 21, 2023.
- Extra stingy against the run…Stetson managed just 29 yards on 22 totes…toughest to run against since zero yards at Mercer (28 carries) on Oct. 14, 2023.
- The Hatters' 97 pass yards are the fewest since 44 at The Citadel last Nov. 9…completed 20 of 34 passing averaging 2.85 yards per attempt and 4.85 yards per completion.
- Season highs of nine tackles for loss and two sacks…45th multi-sack game under
Rusty Wright.
- Allowed just one sack and four TFLs…41st game with one of fewer sacks allowed in the Wright Era.

- Three rushers with 100 yards tonight: Orth (118),
Journey Wyche (115) &
Justus Durant (105)...missed four by six yards (94-
Ryan Ingram).
- Second time in school history with three 100-yard rushers in same game: QB Tony Merendino (134), RB Gwain Durden (108) & RB Mike Smith (103) vs. Appalachian State on Oct. 7, 1978.
- Orth had 118 yards rushing yards (11 carries) with three TDs…7-14 passing with two TDs and an interception…212 yards total offense.
- Second career multiple rushing TD game…had two at Kent State on Nov. 8, 2023, a 49-19 Bowling Green win.
- Orth's five TD responsible for tonight are the most since
Chase Artopoeus on Oct. 7, 2023 against Western Carolina (all passing)…tied for seventh-most all-time behind six different Mocs with six.
- Three rushing TDs are the most by a QB since Terrell Robinson at Georgia Southern on Oct. 8, 2011…Robinson had 114 yards on 21 carries and 176 yards total offense in a relief appearance in a 28-27 loss.
- Orth's 100-yard rushing game is the first by a QB since Nick Tiano '19 had 100 on the nose in the win at Samford on No. 9, 2019.
- 212 yards of total offense for Orth tonight…topped 3500 for his collegiate career (3,517).
- Wyche had a career-high 115 rushing yards…16 carries with a 78-yard touchdown scamper…longest TD run since
Ailym Ford's 86-yard romp against Wofford on Sept. 3, 2022.
- Durant ran for 105 yards on 13 carries…had a TD of his own…second 100-yard rushing game at Chattanooga, seventh of his collegiate career.
- Little's 59-yard first quarter punt return for touchdown is the first since Sept. 27, 2014…that was a 66-yard effort by Tommy Hudson against Samford in Finley Stadium…he had three returns for 65 yards (22.7).

Markell Quick's 91-yard kickoff return touchdown opened the third quarter…1st KO return score in…one home game…
Javin Whatley had a 99 yarder last November 16 against Samford…10th longest KO return in school history.
- The last time there were two return TDs for score was against ETSU in on Nov. 7, 1992...both kickoff by Jerry Ellison of 92 and 94 yards.
- Quick led the Mocs with 125 all-purpose yards with 11 rushing, 23 receiving and 91 on returns.

Jamarii Robinson caught a 16-yard touchdown pass for the Mocs' fourth score of the game…it was his first TD since Oct. 21, 2023 for Northern Colorado at Cal Poly…two catches for 41 yards.

Devin Lively made his first career start today.

Amanuel Dickson made his first career interception at the start of the second quarter…led the squad with six tackles including a TFL.

Marquise Freeman and DB
Kaelin Drakeford tied for the team lead in TFLs (1.5)…nine defenders record at least a half TFL in the contest.
- Freeman and CJ Smith recorded sacks…Smith's was the first of his career.
