First Look
The Chattanooga Mocs are well underway with preparations for this weekend's trip to No. 17 Tennessee Tech. It's the 41st time the two programs meet, however, just the seventh this century. It's the first trip to Cookeville for the Mocs since November 2014.
Â
Tuesday is press conference day during game weeks. Coach
Rusty Wright began the proceedings and was followed by sophomore tight end
John McIntyre and junior safety
Kam Baah-Slay.
Â
Breaking Down the Speakers
- Wright is the fifth Mocs coach all-time to spend seven or more seasons in the head coaching role. He joined Scrappy Moore (35), Buddy Nix (9), Russ Huesman (8) and Joe Morrison (7).
- McIntyre started six games as a true freshman last year at tight end. It was his first time playing the position after spending his high school career at running back and wide receiver. He has developed quickly into an all-conference candidate.
- Baah-Slay led the squad with nine tackles at Memphis in his first career start. The true junior has been in the 2 deep almost from the moment he stepped on campus playing behind a veteran duo at safety his first two seasons before taking on the lead role in 2025.
