Rusty Wright, Head Coach
Opening thoughts after tonight's loss at Tarleton.
"For the most part, we battled. We figured that part out. We have some good players and we have kids fighting their tails off. That was the best team we've played in the FCS since I've been here. By far. We have to do a lot of things better, that's for sure. I can tell you next week is going to be just as hard as this one, so we have to be ready and get ready. Our guys poured their guts out tonight, some things just aren't controllable."

On coming out with aggression.
"Our kids were ready. All the things we went through to get here, our kids were ready to go. We didn't really make a big deal about some troubles we faced getting here. Not once did anyone complain. They were excited to compete and they were ready to go. They wanted to play in an atmosphere like this, this is college football."

On the play of QB Camden Orth.
"He's playing better. He's a tough cat. That's a tough football player and I hope that bleeds over into us being a tougher football team. We just have to stop turning the ball over, against anyone. But, Camden is a tough player. We have some guys who can do some things. We have to be consistent and when we have opportunities to make plays, we have to make plays."

Zion Rutledge, LB-Sr.
On setting the tone early.
"The biggest thing was trying to set the tone. We didn't want them to run the ball and we did that for the most part. It was encouraging. We still have to improve in that area, but the thing I'm most proud of is that we came out and competed. These guys are just ready to compete. This is a strong-minded group and there's never any complaints. We just care about getting better day-by-day."

On moving forward.
"We're not going to play another team like this, this year. I think this will help, seeing this and carrying it over to Southern Conference play coming up."

Justus Durant, RB-Sr.
On the rushing attack tonight.
"Great day on the ground. We practiced hard all week and we came out and really gave our chance to execute and succeed. It's allowing us to be comfortable in the backfield. They are really gelling and coming together and it just makes all us backs a lot more comfortable."

Aidan Donald, OL-RSo.
On moving forward into SoCon play next week.
"We're going into conference play next week 0-0. We're looking at what we can achieve, what we can do as a unit, and giving each other a chance. We want to put ourselves in a position to succeed and I think we're doing that."

On playing tough opponents.
"I believe in execution. We didn't execute as well tonight as we wanted to. That will always help us in conference play. We just need to execute, no matter who we are playing."
