Men’s Golf Eyes Final Round Charge

Ethan Whitaker and the Chattanooga Mocs are in eighth with an eye to climb the Visit Knoxville Collegiate in Sunday’s final 18.

First Look
The Chattanooga Mocs men's golf team made a move into eighth place on the leaderboard during Saturday's second round of the Visit Knox Collegiate. The squad's 284 shot the Mocs past ETSU and within three shots of Kentucky and Iowa in sixth.
 
Breakdown
  • Ethan Whitaker led the way today with a bogey-free 67. He had birdies on the par 4 first and seventh holes and par 5 11th.
  • Evan Rogers and Griffin Law had 2-over 72s. Back-to-back counting cards for the true freshmen.
  • Camden Braidech finished strong. He was 4 over through 15 before a birdie-birdie-par finish gave him a 73 total.
  • Thad Whitfield had the drop tally with 74.
  • Five others in the counting cards limited the scoring today. However, the group collected 11 birdies.
  • The counting cars were 1 over on the par 3s, 5 over on the 4s and 2 under on the two par 5s.
