CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- The Chattanooga softball team returns home to host the annual Frost Classic beginning Friday and running through Sunday at Frost Stadium. The Mocs host Illinois Chicago (UIC) and Cornell.

ABOUT CHATTANOOGA
The Mocs are 5-5 on the year with all five wins coming in tournament play. UTC went 3-2 on the opening weekend at Troy's Trojan Classic and picked up two more in the weather-shortened Chattanooga Challenge.
 
Mia Leone leads the Mocs with a .379 batting average (11-29). She has three doubles, a home run, five RBI and scored four runs. Abi Bunt is 11-for-32 (.344) with a team-best 10 RBI and four doubles along with a home run. Baileigh Pitts is hitting .333 with three doubles and a triple on 10 hits and five RBI. Chloe Lackey is hitting .318 with a double, a triple and has driven in six runs.
 
In the circle, freshman Emery Bales is 2-1 with a 4.45 ERA and a save. She has 17 strikeouts in 22 innings pitched. Senior hurler Taylor Long was named the TSWA Pitcher of the Week. She is 2-3 on the year with a no-hitter against MTSU. She is second in the SoCon with 35 strikeouts and leads UTC with a .250 opponent batting average.
