Quotable
"I don't think we wrestled poorly against The Citadel. We just didn't execute and get all the points we could. I think from then on, we kind of understood that when we're in on a leg, it might be the only good chance we have to score. I think from then on, you kind of saw our guys wrestle differently through the whole match. It's great to finish the regular season this way, but now it's postseason, and that's the most important thing for some of these guys." – Coach Kyle Ruschell on the last 2 weeks earning another SoCon title

"The team needed some extra points. I got to my offense and got the major for the team." – True freshman Kade Rule on momentum shifting major decision

"It's been a long time since we've been in this position. I'm just happy for our guys and the alumni. It's been a long time coming." – Ruschell on the regular season title

Breakdown
  • Yuta Otero got the match started with a hard-fought win. He overcame an early takedown to battle back to 5-5 through seven minutes. He didn't take long to secure a takedown to win via sudden victory.
  • A Bellarmine fall at 157 and decision at 174 sandwiched a Mason Reiniche decision at 165. True freshman Kade Rule flipped the switch with a dominant 10-1 major decision over Andrew Liber making it 10-9 on the team score.
  • Ethan Vergara continued the winning run with a decision at 285 before another major came from Cooper Flynn at 125. That put the match on edge.
  • Ethan Uhorchuk clinched with his own decision in sudden victory over #20 Trayce Eckman. The duo wrestled each other to a stalemate before "EU" completed his shot in extra time.
  • Hunter Mason finished it off with a ranked win as well over #26 AJ Rallo, 6-3 Mason and Rule both finished undefeated in SoCon duals for 2025-26.
  • Series Record: 5-1. Check out full history at the link above.
  • First time since 2014-15 that all 10 weight classes were .500 or better in SoCon duals. In fact, just like 2014-15, all 10 finished ABOVE .500:
    8-0 (141//197)
    7-1 (125/133/157/174)
    6-2 (184/285)
    5-3 (149/165)
  • DYK…2015 is the last SoCon Tournament Championship for the Mocs.
