Indoor Track Competes at UAB Green and Gold Friday

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — The Chattanooga women's indoor track and field team returns to action on Friday, Feb. 6, competing at the UAB Green and Gold Invitational at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Ala. The meet begins with field events at 11:00 a.m. ET followed by track events starting at 1:00 p.m.

On the track, Chattanooga opens the day in the 60-meter prelims with Ryleigh Simmons, while distance runners Leah Boyd Mitchell, Anna Roberson and Maddie Wheatcroft headline the mile. Ava McGue, Aalvinee Torrance and Kolbee Webb represent the Mocs in the 400 meters, with McGue also doubling back in the 200 alongside Norah Haney and Simmons.

The 800 meters features Taylor Crawford, Maya McCloskey and Brooke Webb, while Chattanooga will field a deep contingent in the 3,000 meters, led by Lola Baker, Andrea Ellis and Ellie von Herrmann.

The meet concludes with the 4x400-meter relay, where Chattanooga will look to close the day strong with a mix of experience and versatility.

In the field, Halle Carden competes in the high jump, while Stella Henry, McGue and Carden highlight the long jump group as the Mocs get their first competition underway on Friday morning.

The Green and Gold Invitational provides Chattanooga another opportunity to build momentum, gain valuable experience and chase personal bests as the indoor season progresses.
