CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- The Chattanooga softball team is heading south for the 2026 Trojan Clasic hosted by Troy University. Play begins Friday afternoon and runs through Sunday morning.
The Mocs, picked by the Southern Conference coaches to finish second, return preseason all-conference selection
Taylor Long in the circle.
Zoe Wright is the lone infielder returning from the Mocs 2025 championship squad and
Baileigh Pitts makes the move to first. Chattanooga returned 14 from last year's team and added seven including four transfers.
Action begins Friday against North Alabama at 12:30 p.m. Eastern time, followed by a test against host Troy at 6:00 p.m. It will be aired live on ESPN+. Saturday gets started at 5:00 p.m. start against the Trojans and followed with a matchup against instate foe Middle Tennessee. UTC finishes off opening weekend with a morning game Sunday against Southern at 10:00 a.m.
