CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- The Chattanooga softball team posted a pair of milestone victories Saturday, highlighted by historic achievements from the dugout and the circle on Day Two of the Trojan Classic hosted by Troy.

Head coach
Frank Reed earned his 800th career win as head coach of the Mocs as Chattanooga defeated Troy 10-9. Senior
Taylor Long threw a seven-inning no-hitter against Middle Tennessee finishing the day with seven scoreless innings and 11 punchouts. The no-no was her first and she was one strikeout shy of her career high set last season.

Abi Bunt hit .556 (5-9) with three doubles and drove in five runs.
Lexi Cooley hit a 2-run shot over the fence in left against Middle Tennessee.
Zoe Wright was 3-for-6 and
Baileigh Pitts went 3-for-7, each driving in a run.
Chloe Lackey laced a triple to center, scoring twice on the day and driving in one run.

GAME ONE – Chattanooga 10, Troy 9
The Mocs opened play Saturday with a 10-9 win over host Troy. Offensively,
Abi Bunt powered the lineup, finishing 3-for-5 with four RBIs, including a key double.
Annika Segedi reached base four times, going 2-for-3 with two runs scored and two walks, while
Baileigh Pitts added a 2-for-4 performance with an RBI.
Raven Jones also drove in a run as part of Chattanooga's balanced attack.

In the circle,
Sophia Guerra Leiva picked up the win after working 4.0 innings, while
Emery Bales earned the save by pitching the final 3.0 innings, striking out three to close out the victory.

Chattanooga picked up three runs in the first and never relinquished the lead. The Mocs loaded the bases with singles from
Ava Cowart and
Annika Segedi and a hit by pitch to
Baileigh Pitts.
Mia Leone drove in Cowart on a sac fly to center for the first score of the game.

Chloe Lackey was plunked to reload the bases for Bunt who hit a two-run double on a full count to make it 3-0. In the bottom of the inning, with runners at second and third on two outs, Long forced a flyout to end the scoring threat.

Troy tied it up in the bottom of the second on three hits including a two-run homer. Again, with two outs, the inning closed on a flyout.

The Mocs retook the lead in the third with two runs.
Mia Leone led off the inning with a walk and
Izzy Carlyle came in to run.
Chloe Lackey singled through the left side to put runners at first and second and a ground out advanced the runners one base. A lineout made it two outs, but the inning was far from over.
Raven Jones singled Carlyle home, putting runners at the corner for
Zoe Wright who beat out the hit to short, driving in the Mocs fifth run of the game.

An infield single in the Troy third, cut UTC's lead to 5-4. The Trojans had two on with one out, but left them stranded.
Â
The top of the fourth saw three more Chattanooga runs on three hits and two errors.
Annika Segedi and Pitts each singled to start the inning and Leone loaded the bases, reaching on an error. Lackey's sac fly drove in one run while Bunt's single up the middle added a second. Jones reached on an error, scoring the Mocs third run of the inning to make it 8-4.

With two outs in the fifth,
Mia Leone singled through the left side and took second on a wild pitch. Bunt singled down the left field line, driving her in from second to make it 9-4.

Troy wouldn't go away, plating three runs in the fifth on three hits that included a double to drive in the lead off batter and a two-run blast to make it 9-7.

The Mocs final run came on a single by Pitts to centerfield scoring Jones. Troy added another run in the fifth and their final in the seventh. The tying run, however, was left stranded on a ground out to the pitcher.

GAME TWO – Chattanooga 4, Middle Tennessee 0
The Mocs capped off Day Two of the Trojan Classic with a 4-0, no-hit victory over MTSU. Chattanooga belted nine hits led by
Zoe Wright and
Abi Bunt with two apiece.
Lexi Cooley had a two-run home run,
Chloe Lackey legged out a triple and Bunt had two doubles.

Chattanooga went 1-2-3 in the first and was headed that way in the second with a pair of groundouts. However Bunt hit a double to deep left field followed by a two-run shot off the bat of Cooley and the Mocs once again had the early lead.

The Blue Raiders had a chance in the bottom of the third, loading the bases on three straight walks.
Taylor Long struck out the final two for her fifth and sixth strikeouts of the game.

Over the next two innings, the Mocs stranded two runners before picking up the final two runs of the game in the sixth. Lackey led off with a triple to right center and Bunt doubled her home with a drive to left center. With two outs, pinch hitter
Anna Dovey drove in another run with a shot down the right field line, plating Carlyle who came in to run for Bunt.

Long struck out two in the sixth and all three outs in the seventh came by strikeout.
