CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Chattanooga Beach Volleyball is set to compete in the Stache Bash this weekend at Austin Peay. The Sandy Mocs are scheduled to play two games on Friday and two games on Saturday. This is the second weekend tournament of the season for Chattanooga, after playing in the Wheeler Beach Bash at South Carolina February 27-28.Â

Scouting Tusculum
The Pioneers, a Division II program in Greenville, Tennessee, have already played nine matches, and hold an impressive 6-3 record. One of Tusculum's most notable wins was on Feb. 20, as it defeated Morehead State 3-2, one of Chattanooga's OVC opponents. Most recently, it went 3-1 at the SAC Conference weekend, defeating Emmanuel, Wingate, and Catawba. The Pioneers are led by Hannah Marsh and Sofia Vega Barrantes, who went 4-0 last weekend, and anchor the No. 1 slot.Â
Chattanooga is 4-0 all-time against Tusculum. The two sides met twice a year ago, with Chattanooga winning 5-0 in both matches.Â
Scouting Wingate
Wingate, a Division II program east of Charlotte, North Carolina, comes to the Stache Bash with a .500 record of 3-3. After losing its first three matches of the year, Wingate has won three in a row, including a doubleheader sweep of Chattanooga's OVC foe, Morehead State, on Wednesday. In the Wingate winning streak, No. 3 pair Lilly DeLamiellure and Ashleyn Beck are undefeated.Â
Friday's meeting between the Mocs and the Bulldogs will be the first-ever meeting between the two programs. Wingate's Beach Volleyball team is just in its second year of existence.Â
Scouting Austin Peay
Austin Peay, the lone Division I school the Mocs play this weekend, and the tournament hosts, hold a 4-7 record on the season. Like the other two teams in the field, Austin Peay holds a win over Morehead State on its schedule. Austin Peay, most recently played in the Georgia State Day of Duals on Wednesday, where it went 1-3 with a win over Tennesee Tech. The Govs have a strong No. 2 pair in Bailey Hope and Ashley Boswell, who won their matches against Eastern Kentucky and Tennesee Tech on Wednesday.
Chattanooga is 9-5 all-time against Austin Peay and has won six in a row in the series. UTC's last loss to the Govs came in 2024 in Clarksville.Â
Scouting Chattanooga
The Sandy Mocs hold a 1-3 record, with a pair of close 3-2 losses that could have gone either way to Coastal Carolina and Texas A&M - Corpus Christi. Chattanooga's lone win came in a 5-0 shutout of Austin Peay, who it plays again this weekend. Chattanooga's best duo from opening weekend was in the No. 4 slot, as

Ashli McKenny went 3-1. Manning the No. 1 position for UTC is
McKenna Faychak and
Maddie Lecik, who went 2-2 in their first four matches. The senior duo has played together in previous seasons and recently set the school record for most wins by a duo with 41.Â
