Overview
The Chattanooga Mocs beach volleyball got their weekend started with two matches in Clarksville, Tenn. The ladies claimed a 5-0 triumph over Tusculum in match one followed by another against Wingate. It's the second and third wins in a row for the Sandy Mocs under difficult conditions at the Atkins Family Beach Volleyball Facility.

Breakdown

• The sweeps make it three in a row. That dates back to season opening weekend's 5-0 ending over Austin Peay which is hosting the event.
• Sydney Jackwin and Ansley Gulledge got the match-clinching triumph against Tusculum.
• Jocelyn Bloedal and Corina Vale clinched the win over Wingate.
• The Mocs won 20 of 22 sets among their five starting pairs in the sweeps.
• 30-3 record in sets over the 3-match win streak.
• Series records: Tusculum: 6-0 | Wingate: 1-0.
• The second pairing led by Vale allowed just 41 total points in two wins. She and Julia Lawrence  lead the squad with a 4-1 mark this season after a 21-9, 21-13 domination of Tusculum. Vale paired with Bloedel gave up only 19 in their win over Wingate.
• The third pair also limited their two opponents to less than 50 points scored with just 44 allowed by Gulledge and Jackwin.
• The first and fifth pairing just missed that mark. Ava Goryl and Madeline McCabe saw their fifth pair opposition tally 59 points, while McKenna Faychak and Maddie Lecik gave up 62 for the top line.

 
Next Up
The "Stache Bash" continues Saturday with a rematch with Tusculum and a matchup at Austin Peay. First serve with the Pioneers is slated for 2:30 with a 4:45 p.m., follow against the Govs.
