CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - The two-time defending OVC Regular Season and Tournament Champions, Chattanooga Beach Volleyball team, starts its quest for a three-peat on Wednesday evening at UT Martin. A rematch of last year's championship is set to kickoff the OVC slate of matches, starting at 5 p.m. eastern/4 p.m. central at the Skyhawk Beach Volleyball Complex.

Series Notes
UT Martin leads the all-time series 9-8... The two sides played four times in 2025, with UTC winning three of the matches, including a 3-2 result in the OVC Championship Match... The Sandy Mocs have won six of the last seven matches in the series... Wednesday will be the 18th all-time meeting, which is the most played matchup for Chattanooga in its seven-year history. 

Scouting UT Martin
The Skyhawks just started their season this past weekend, going 3-1 at the Bears Beach Bash in Macon, Georgia. Martin picked up wins over Wesleyan (5-0), Mercer (4-1), and Huntingdon (5-0). It's lone loss came to Palm Beach Atlantic (1-4) in its third match of the weekend. 

UT Martin returns a pair of All-Conference performers from last season, Kayla Bryant and Reagan McGee, who went 4-0 in the No. 2 slot to start the year. The duo won all eight sets its played in to start the season. Riley Rushing and Dylan Sulcer manned the No. 1 position for the Skyhawks, and went 3-1 to begin the season. 

Scouting Chattanooga
The Sandy Mocs are coming to Martin on a positive note, winning their last five matches, all by 5-0 scores. This includes four wins this past weekend at the Stache Bash over Tusculum (2x), Wingate, and Austin Peay, where they won 20 of 24 sets played.

All of UTC's starting pairs have winning percentages of at least .625 or higher, led by Ashli McKenny and Taylor Clark in the No. 4 slot at .875 and a 7-1 record. McKenna Faychak and Maddie Lecik on Court 1, and Ansley Gulledge and Sydney Jackwin on Court 3 are right behind them with a 6-2 record.
