"That was by far our best team round of the year. We looked like an NCAA Championship team. I'm happy for our guys to get to see some of the fruits of the work they've put in…now it's time to keep building off of this." – Coach Woodruff on the quality shone

Breakdown
  • The Mocs started 2 over with two bogeys on the opening 10th hole. They followed with four birdies over the following three holes to get to 2 under before making the turn at even. Four birdies over holes four-five-six got the tally to 4 under before settling at 2 under.
  • Bulls Bay played almost three-and-a-half strokes harder today (74.81 avg) than the first two days combined (71.47). The Mocs average was 71.50 which bested the remainder of the field by 3.50 (75.00).
  • Rogers led the squad with five birdies as there were 14 recorded on the counting cards. That gave the group 39 for the event playing par or better on all but 29 holes.
  • Four Mocs finished par or better for the event. The last time that happened in the regular season in the win last year at the Ross Collegiate in Southern Pines, N.C.
  • New season lows for 54-hole total (853) and vs par (-11) scoring. Best since last year's SoCon Championship where the Mocs shot 12-under 852.
  • Three top 20 finishes – T16-Whitaker, T20-Harris & Braidech – with a fourth in the top 30 – T30-Rogers. First time this season among the starting five. It happened three times in 2024-25.
  • Whitaker's T16 is the best finish in school history at the Hootie. PGA Tour pro Stephan Jaeger '12 was T22 in 2010 a year after Derek Rende '10 and Fredrik Qvicker '10 finished in the same spot.
  • The team's is the top finish as well with both the 2009 and 2010 squads ending up 10th.
