CHATTANOOGA vs. SAMFORD
The Mocs lead the series 55-28 to 1994. Samford joined the Southern Conference in 2009 and the series is a 25-20 Chattanooga advantage. In Birmingham, UTC leads the series 22-11 and swept the series in 2024.
 
ABOUT CHATTANOOGA
The Mocs are 12-17-1 on the year and 1-2 in SoCon action. As a team, UTC is hitting .294 with 11 home runs, six triples and 32 doubles. The Mocs have driven in 119 runs on the year and scored 139 times.
 
Anna Dovey leads the Mocs with a .364 batting average. She hit her first career grand slam on March 18 at Tennessee State. Mia Leone and Chloe Lackey lead the Mocs with three home runs and 20 RBI each. Ava Cowart is hitting .352 while Baileigh Pitts has a .517 slugging percentage and a .348 batting average with seven doubles, a triple, two home runs and 14 RBI.
 
Taylor Long has 103 strikeouts this season in 82-1/3 innings pitched. Emery Bales has a team-best two saves on the year and a 3.86 ERA.
 
ABOUT SAMFORD
The Bulldogs are 12-21 on the year and 2-1 in conference play after taking the SoCon-opening series with Mercer, 2-1. Samford is hitting .270 with 221 hits that include 32 doubles, five triples and 25 home runs while driving in 129.
 
Olivia Shaw leads the team with a .326 batting average with 12 doubles, a triple and four home runs with 27 RBI. Katie Campbell has a team-best eight homers and is hitting 312.
 
In the circle, the Bulldogs have a 5.35 team ERA with seven hurlers on the roster. Makinley Turner has a team-best 3.20 ERA with 44 strikeouts in 50.1 innings pitched.
