BRENTWOOD, Tenn. - The Ohio Valley Conference announced Chattanooga's Maddie Lecik and McKenna Faychak as the Beach Volleyball Pair of the Week on Wednesday morning. This marks the second time that UTC's all-time winningest duo has earned this award this season. 

Playing in the first OVC Weekend of the year on their home sand, Lecik and Faychak went 4-0 in the No. 1 position against Tennessee Tech, Lindenwood, Eastern Illinois, and Morehead State. The duo did not drop a set in any of their matches. As a team, Chattanooga won all four matches, outscoring their opponents 19-1. The Sandy Mocs are 10-3 and 5-0 in OVC play, alone at the top of the league standings. 

Lecik and Faychak, and the rest of the UTC Beach Volleyball team are back in action this weekend at the Eastern Kentucky Sand Fest. The Mocs are scheduled for three matches against Ottawa (Kan.), Liberty, and Eastern Kentucky.
