CHATTANOOGA vs. EAST TENNESSEE STATE
The Mocs lead the series with the Bucs 39-13 and hold a 33-11 lead in Southern Conference play while at home the Mocs hold a 17-5 advantage. UTC has won seven of the last eight and 14 of the last 16.

ABOUT CHATTANOOGA
Chattanooga is 15-21-1 overall this season and 3-6 against the SoCon. At home, the Mocs are 9-6-1 against their opponents. As a team, UTC is hitting .299 with 289 hits in 965 at bats. They have won three of their last four outings, two in extra innings and one by run-rule.

Baileigh Pitts, the reigning SoCon and TSWA Player of the Week, leads the Mocs with a .382 batting average with eight doubles, a triple and a team-leading four home runs and 23 RBI. She has a .582 slugging percentage and a .467 on-base percentage.
Ava Cowart is hitting .368 and is 11-for-12 on the base paths.
Anna Dovey is hitting .364 and
Annika Segedi is fourth on the team with a .306 batting average.

In the circle, the Mocs have a team 5.02 ERA led by
Emery Bales with a 4.90. She is 5-8 in 23 appearances and 13 starts with two saves and a shutout.
Taylor Long is 7-11 on the year with two shutouts, nine complete games and 118 strikeouts in 97.2 innings pitched.

ABOUT EAST TENNESSEE STATE
ETSU is 15-17 overall and 3-6 in Southern Conference action. The Bucs are hitting .269 as a team with 144 RBI on 230 hits including 38 doubles four triples and 17 home runs.

Payton Moore leads the team with a .347 batting average and a team-best seven home runs with 19 RBI. Whitney Boone leads ETSU with 22 RBI and is hitting .313. Abigail Taylor is second on the team in hitting with a .321 batting average. Riley Croley has 20 RBI on 22 hits and has drawn 22 walks.

In the circle, the Bucs have a 4.07 ERA and 109 strikeouts. Eden Muncy leads the team with a 2.313 ERA with a 1-3 mark with one save. Caitlin Pennington is 43 in 13 appearances with a 3.88 ERA.

BAILEIGH PITTS NAMED SOCON, TSWA SOFTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Baileigh Pitts was named the Southern Conference and Tennessee Sports Writers Association Softball Player of the Week for all games played March 30-April 5.

Pitts went 8-for-13 (.615), drew three walks, had a slugging percentage of .923 and a .647 on-base percentage. The Ringgold, Ga., senior had a double, a home run and six RBI and was 1-for-1 on stolen bases. In Chattanooga's come-from-behind 8-7, extra inning win over Georgia State, Pitts went 2-for-4 with three RBI with a double and sac fly.

In the bottom of the seventh, Pitts hit a sac fly with bases loaded, sparking the Mocs five run come-back at the end of regulation.Â
Mia Leone hit a two-run blast to tie it up 6-6. Georgia State added a run in the top of the eighth to take the lead, but the Mocs came charging back. A pair of singles and a walk loaded the bases for Pitts who hit a two-run, walk-off double to the gap in right center, scoring two runs for the win.

She went 2-for-3 in Chattanooga's 8-0, five inning win over Mercer with an RBI single in the third to put UTC on the board and a home run in the fourth to make it 7-0. She followed that with a 2-for-4 performance and a walk with one run scored to help UTC to a 6-5, 10-inning win. In the final game of the weekend, she was 2-for-2 with two walks and an RBI.

Pitts leads Chattanooga with a .382 batting average for the season with a team-best four home runs, eight doubles and a triple and has driven in 23 runs this season. She has a .582 slugging percentage, drawn 20 walks, has four sac flies and three sac hits and is 2-for-2 on stolen bases.
