Overview
The Chattanooga Mocs men's golf team was dominant on day one of the Racer Intercollegiate. The Mocs opened with 8-under 280 over the opening 18 and came back with 11-under 277 in the second round at the Country Club of Paducah. The 557 gives the squad a 15-stroke lead over host Murray State heading into Tuesday's final round.

Notes
- The first round 280 was led by Harris' 68. He recorded seven birdies as the counting cards totaled 20. Whitaker and Rogers shot 70s with Braidech and Law coming in with 72s.
- The afternoon 277 had four red numbers. Whitaker was low with a 68 of his own, while Rogers and Braidech were one behind at 69. Harris posted 71, one better than Law's 72.
- 38 birdies on the day as the Mocs followed up 20 in round one with 18 in round two.
- The Mocs averaged 70.10 shots per 18 over their 10 cards. That was 4.55 shots better than the rest of the field posted (74.55).
- Just seven bogeys in the second round with the team playing par or better on 90.3 percent of their holes.
- Even the drop score is even par with 72s in each round. All five Mocs claimed a counting score today.
- Harris and Whitaker lead the field in par 4 scoring at 4 under. Whitaker and Rogers are tied for best pat 5 scoring at 5 under with five others.
- Whitaker is tied for the birdie lead with 12 with Harris right behind in a tie for third with 10.
- 557 is tied for the ninth-best 36-hole total. 19 under is tied for fifth vs par. Best 36 holes since the 2023 SoCon Championships (-20, 556).
- Second round 277 (-11) is a season best. Lowest team tally since 18-under 270 to finish off last year's win at the Ross Collegiate (March 10-11).
- Since Coach Blaine Woodruff's arrival in the summer of 2022, Chattanooga boasts nine wins and seven medalists with seven different Mocs claiming a win.
- Tuesday's final round is a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. (ET). The Mocs begin play on holes 1-4 paired with Murray State, Dayton and North Dakota State.
