800 METER RUNNERS SET PERSONAL BESTS SATURDAY
 
NASHVILLE, Tenn. --- Maddie Wheatcroft led a trio of personal bests Saturday at the Outdoor Music City Challenge hosted by Vanderbilt.
 
Wheatcroft took more than 1.5 seconds off her previous best 800 meter time, crossing the line at 2:12.37 and 17^th overall. Crawford was just under three seconds under the PR set set last month at the Lee University Fast Break Athletics Invitational at 2:16.83. Maya McCloskey's PR didn't stand long before she was hitting that high again. Last weekend at the Josh Reidinger Invitational, she reset her PR in the 800 meter run. This week she topped it again with a time of 2:19.22
 
Ryleigh Simmons ran the 100 meter prelim in a time of 12.02, winning her heat and qualifying for the final. She placed eighth in the final with a time of 11.98 seconds.
 
The Mocs close out the regular season and now prep for the SoCon Tournament in 10 days at Frost Stadium.
