The Chattanooga Mocs are hard at work preparing for the 2026 football season. Camp enters its third week and units are taking shape. Here are a few notes about the 50th edition of the program's DI (and Southern Conference) era.

Running Back Reload
At this time last year, the Mocs boasted a running back room that included two experienced runners in Justus Durant and Ryan Ingram along with a rising second year prospect in Journey Wyche and good depth. This year's model? Well, Wyche is back with two new transfers to compete with in senior Kevin Lalin (Catawba) and grad transfer Harrison Bey-Buie (Northern Iowa). Freshman Kelby Glaze was an early enrollee in January with second year TJ Worthy and senior Malachi Jeffries.

Lalin began his career at Limestone before heading to Catawba. He has 2,258 career rushing yards in three seasons and 2,727 all-purpose.
 
Linebacker Line Items
The LB room features a returning all-conference performer in Zion Rutledge. Senior Kristian Ozane and juniors Gavin Helton and Landon Feggins round out a group of returners augmented by two DII transfers. Incoming juniors Bryce Washington (Ohio Dominican) and LaRawn Robinson (Southern Connecticut State) joined in January bringing size and experience to the crew. A highly competitive camp is sharpening iron and brings a good bit of optimism for the coming campaign.

Winningest program in the SoCon over last 15 conference schedules both in wins (73) and win percentage (.640/73-41). Samford (66-50), Furman (65-51) and Wofford (63-52) also have 60+ wins, while Mercer (.585), Samford (.569), Furman (.560) & the Terriers (.548) are also above .500 over that span.
 
On the Road Again…
The Mocs open on the road at West Georgia. The Mocs are 21-14 (.600) on the road against FCS competition under Rusty Wright.
