Quotable
"This was a great way to kick off the year. We beat some NCAA match play regulars and having the lead after 36 holes is a good starting point. I thought we were a little timid to start today and didn't play with as much freedom as we could have. But this was the first time this group had led such a stout field going into the final round. Just being in that position is going to make us better. I'm proud of the guys for fighting to the finish." –
Coach Blaine Woodruff
"I'm really proud of Evan as he continues to grow and mature as a player. He struggled a bit this summer after his state am win and really got back to the foundation of what got him there. We're so happy to see that pay off for him this week." –

Breakdown
- It was a bit of a slow start playing 1 over through the first four holes.
- The Mocs played the par 5 5th at 2 under to get back to red numbers for the day.
- That number settled at even at the turn. Rogers' eagle at 12 got the Mocs to 2 under on the day.
- They just could not make a run from there. Birdies by Rogers and Braidech at 14 got it to 3 under and up to 11 under for the tournament, but that's as close as it got.
