Men’s Tennis Concludes Opening Weekend Action at APSU Fall Invite

The Chattanooga Mocs tennis program collected 15 total victories between singles and doubles play over the three-day opening weekend.
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (September 13, 2026) – The Chattanooga Mocs men's tennis team joined the likes of Austin Peay, Tennessee Tech and Alabama A&M to open the 2026 fall season within the Austin Peay Fall Invite held this weekend at the Governors Tennis Courts in Clarksville, Tennessee.
The APSU Fall Invite event was a mix of doubles and singles play consisting of a three-day format. Chattanooga's representatives collected 15 wins in total between singles and doubles over the weekend, playing in multiple closely battled matches.
"It was a solid weekend for the guys," said head coach Chuck Merzbacher. "A lot of guys had a great weekend. It was great to have these tough matches in tough conditions to open the fall."
Full weekend results can be found below. Chattanooga and its select representatives/qualifiers will next compete in the ITA All-American Championships held September 19-27 in Tulsa, Oklahoma before the program hosts its annual UTC Steve Baras Fall Invite on October 2-4 at the UTC Tennis Center.
