Softball Hosts Chattanooga State Friday to Open Fall Season

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The Chattanooga Mocs softball team opens its 2026 fall schedule on Friday when it welcomes Chattanooga State to Frost Stadium for a doubleheader beginning at 4:30 p.m. The twin bill marks the first opportunity for fans to see the Mocs under first-year head coach Donald Pickett as the team begins preparations for the 2027 spring season.

Friday's games will provide an early look at a Chattanooga squad blending returning talent with a number of newcomers. The fall season is designed to give the coaching staff an opportunity to evaluate lineups, build chemistry and continue developing the foundation of the program ahead of the regular season.

The Mocs are coming off a 25-win campaign in 2026 and will look to carry momentum into a new era of Chattanooga softball. Friday's contests are the first of two fall doubleheaders on the Mocs' schedule and begin a six-date exhibition slate at Frost Stadium.

First pitch of game one is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. at Frost Stadium. Admission is free, and fans are encouraged to come out and support the Mocs as they begin their fall campaign.
