2011-12
Started 19 times in 29 games played...posted first career
double-double with 10 points and career-high 12 rebounds at home against
UNCG...also shot 8-9 from free throw line in the game...missed three games
mid-way through conference slate with hamstring injury...in final seven games
after returning from injury, Burroughs tallied 9.4 points and 8.6 boards per
contest shooting 57.9 percent (22-38) from the floor and 61.1 percent (22-36)
from the charity stripe...had a phenomenal senior night tying for the fourth-best
shooting night the school's DI era making all eight of his attempts from the
field in scoring a career-high 19 points...also had seven rebounds and a
career-best three steals...closed out strong with 15 points and a career-high 13
boards in the SoCon Tourney loss to Georgia Southern.
2010-11
Started two of his 32 appearances...had 10 points and three
rebounds starting for a flu-depleted roster at Western Carolina making 5-6 from
free throw line...career-high 11 points and five boards against Reinhardt...keyed
win at UNC Greensboro with season-high eight rebounds which he matched three
week later at home against Elon...helped the Mocs beat App State at home with
five points and six boards in 14 minutes.
PRIOR TO CHATTANOOGA
Averaged 10.2 points and 6.8 rebounds for Jeremy Coombs at
Neosho County Community College in 2009-10...played in 30 of 31 games helping
lead the Panthers to a 20-11 record, 12-6 in the ultra-competitive Jayhawk East
Conference...was being considered for a redshirt prior to the 2008-09 season
before becoming an important contributor at New Orleans as a freshman...played
in 20 games, starting eight...his eight starts came within the final nine regular
season games...averaged 3.6 points and 2.6 rebounds per contest...saw limited
time early before getting increasing time starting with Jan. 12 win against
Loyola (N.O.)...scored 10 points in win over Florida Atlantic on Feb. 5...followed
that up with eight points and season-best seven rebounds against UL Monroe on
Feb. 7...had season-high 11 points at UL Lafayette on Feb. 22.
HIGH SCHOOL
Was 4A All-State Honorable Mention as well as an
All-District and All-Metro pick while at McDonogh 35... three-year letter
winner...helped the Roneagles to second round of Louisiana 4A state playoffs...also
played wide receiver on football team as a senior and was a two-year letter
winner as a high jumper in track and field...spent sophomore year at Mayde
Creek High School in Katy, Texas, following aftermath of Hurricane Katrina...played
on New Orleans Panther Select AAU team with former Georgetown star and NBA
lottery pick Greg Monroe (Detroit Pistons) and Arkansas' Brandon Moore...also
played AAU with the Houston Hoops after Katrina with former Oklahoma point
guard and current Milwaukee Buck Keith "Tiny" Gallon...Had a 3.4 GPA.

Commie Burroughs and Donna Hulbert...has a daughter, Kassidi, along with one
older brother, Jermaine Hulbert, and one older sister, Latasia Burroughs...majoring
in Psychology...wants to open a seafood restaurant after his playing career is
complete...had a cameo appearance in the 2009 feature film Hurricane Season starring Forest Whitaker and Bow Wow.
