- Led the defensive line in sacks and tackles en route to being named all-conference as a senior.
- Selected to the Louisiana Football Magazine All-South Louisiana Team.

- Cousin, Louis Lipps, played at Southern Miss and spent nine years in the NFL as a wide receiver for the New Orleans Saints and Pittsburgh Steelers.
