Elon, N.C. ? The Lady Mocs capitalized on 10 hits and two errors to take game two of Saturday afternoon's doubleheader 2-1 against the Elon Phoenix after falling 2-1 in game one.

Chattanooga improves its record to 29-26, 10-4 SoCon, while Elon now has a record of 25-24, 7-9 SoCon.

Freshman pitcher Brooke Loudermilk (Locust Grove, Ga.) jumped up three spots on the single season strikeouts list to No. 3 with 332 strikeouts, 12 on the day, including the final out of the game. She was credited with the win in game two to improve her record to 18-10, 6-1 SoCon.

Loudermilk threw her first three strikeouts to retire the one, two and three batters to start off the game on defense for the Lady Mocs.

But Elon scored first in the bottom of the second after Brandi Jones reached on a walk, advanced to second on a wild pitch and then advanced home on Melanie Helterbran's single.

Chattanooga came out swinging in the top of the third, picking up back-to-back singles from senior left fielder Jeannie Cochran (Maryville, Tenn.) and sophomore center fielder Ashley Cuticchia (Rising Fawn, Ga.). Senior first baseman Alyssa Edwards (Geneva, N.Y.) lined one to center field to score Cochran and advance Cuticchia but both were left on leaving the score tied at one all after two-and-a-half.

The Lady Mocs loaded up the bases to start off the fifth inning with Cuticchia finding another gap to lead off before freshman catcher Brittany Eason (Chattanooga, Tenn.) reached on an error by the shortstop. Edwards walked.

Sophomore third baseman Toni Hutchison (Madison, Tenn.) lined into a double play to the shortstop with Cuticchia picked off at third for the second out. Tembey reached on an error by the first baseman to load the bases up again with senior second baseman Brittney Whittier (Scottsdale, Ariz.) stepping into the box.

Whittier found a gap, scoring Eason, but Edwards was thrown out at home, closing out the inning with Chattanooga up 2-1.

Loudermilk found herself in double-digits for strikeouts in the bottom of the sixth, earning strikeouts number 10 and 11, allowing only one runner on and throwing for a fly out to center field.

Eason hit through the middle to pick up the 10th hit for the Lady Mocs to lead off the top of the seventh but was thrown out on Edwards ground out into a double play on the next at bat.

In game one, Cuticchia went 2-for-4 with back-to-back singles in the first and third innings to lead the Lady Mocs at the plate.

Chattanooga accumulated four hits, while leaving seven on base and reaching on two Phoenix errors. Tembey scored the lone run for the team after striking out but reaching on a wild pitch.

Elon's Weber led the Phoenix with two of the team's five hits and scoring one run of Ziegler's two-RBI single in the bottom of the third.

Senior pitcher Ashley Frizzell (Soddy Daisy, Tenn.) was charged with the loss making her record now 10-12, 4-2 SoCon.
