Elon won the doubles point, claiming the first and third positions. The Lady Mocs' duo of Bonnie Adams and Beata Knizat were 8-3 winners over Whitney Butcher and Paige Kensrue at No. 2 doubles.

The Phoenix, who improved to 6-4 overall and 1-0 in the SoCon, swept all six singles matches.

UTC's No. 1 player, senior Lindsey Ballard, took her opponent, Deanna Bailey, to a third-set superbreaker before falling, 3-6, 6-1, 10-7.

In other singles matches, Anna Milian defeated junior Beata Knizat at No. 2, Kensrue dispatched Adams, a senior, at No. 3 and Jenn Tucci was a winner over freshman Grace Robinette at No. 4.

Butcher got past freshman Annie Green at No. 5, and Hayley Wahl defeated freshman Ariana Sanjines at No. 6.

The Lady Mocs return to action next Saturday, hosting Appalachian State at 1 p.m. at the Champion Club.
