The Terriers would cut the lead to 10 at the break, 42-32.

In the early stages of the second half, Wofford was able to make the Mocs' lead evaporate thanks to a 14-4 run to tie the score at 46-apiece with 11:21 left to play. A Noah Dahlman free-throw would give the Terriers its first lead since the 9:34 mark in the first half 47-46.

The Mocs would be able to extend its lead to four as UTC went up 57-53 on a Khalil Hartwell layup. The Terriers would answer right back however, going on a backbreaking 8-0 run to lead 61-57 with 4:07 left in the game.

A Goffney jumper with 2:13 remaining cut the Mocs' deficit to two before Wofford counterpunched with a Jason Dawson three-pointer to extend the Terrier lead to five, 64-59. The Mocs would get the lead down to two twice, but were unable to regain the lead from Wofford as the Terriers held on for the 69-66 victory.

Despite the loss, the Mocs received a career high 19 points from senior Kevin Goffney shooting 7-of-12 from the field. Nicchaeus Doaks recorded his sixth double-double of the season with 13 points and 10 rebounds, Ty Patterson had 14 points.  Doaks added a career-high five blocked shots.
