The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga wrestling team scored a 40-6 win over Davidson in Southern Conference action today.  The Mocs scored bonus points in seven of their eight wins in the match to improve to 7-5 on the year and 2-0 in SoCon action. 

Sophomore Jason McCroskey (184) and Brandon Wright (165) and freshmen Alex Hudson (157) and Niko Brown (197) all pinned their opponent in the match.  Freshman Jake Young, ranked No. 16 at 184, scored a 20-5 technical fall in his match against Jorge Estrada. 

Sophomore Demetrius Johnson posted a major decision over Matt Zarth at 125 while senior Josh Statum defeated Alex Radsky at 133.    

The Mocs are back in action on Dec. 29-30 when they travel to Evanston, Ill., for the prestigious Midlands Championships.  The next home match is Saturday, Jan. 16, when UTC welcomes nationally ranked Missouri to Maclellan Gym.  Match time against the Tigers is set for 7:00 p.m. (E.S.T.).
