The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's tennis team dropped a 6-1 match at Elon today.  The Lady Mocs grabbed one win each in singles and doubles, but fall to 2-7 on the year and 0-3 in Southern Conference action. 

Elon improved to 9-3 overall and 1-0 in the SoCon with the win.  Junior Annie Green won her first match of the dual season with a dramatic three-set victory at No. 6 over Laura Graybill.  She took the first set, 6-3, before Graybill forced a super-tiebreaker.  Green was trailing 9-7 in the tiebreak before grabbing the next four points for the win. 

Sophomore Shaina Singh and freshman Jenna Nurik teamed up for an 8-7 win over Paige Kensrue and Lauren Sessoms.  They won the tiebreaker 7-5 in the No. 2 doubles match. 

The Lady Mocs return home next weekend when they host Appalachian State at the UTC Tennis Courts.  Match time against the Mountaineers is set for 1:00 p.m. (E.S.T.) on Sunday, March 14.
