On the pitching rotation:
"We didn't go with the three-pitcher rotation today and we were just going to see how it played out. Brooke (Loudermilk) had a little bit of a breakdown after the error and she got a little bit out of hand. We gave Kandice (Irwin) the chance to throw and we were trying to get more people in the game so that we could get ready for the tournament."
On enjoying the game:
"It's always fun when they score early. I am happy for the seniors and glad they had the chance to be honored today. They got a big win at home and I thought that was pretty key."
On the pep talk before the third inning:
"Quite honestly, I'm not sure what I said, but they just had to go out there and have fun. Play ball and score runners when you have runners in scoring position and you'll win ballgames. They made adjustments and came out on top."

On the big third inning:
"It only takes one hit to get out of a slump. After we got the first one and scored a couple of runs, there was no stopping us. Hitting is contagious. When we start scoring runs, we are going to score more than one or two runs."
On improving for the tournament:
"Coach Reed read our stats to us from the last month to show us how we had done, and it was shocking. I don't think anybody realized how bad we had done these last few months. That was a wakeup call and an eye opener."

Thoughts on the game:
"I think we have some great momentum going into the tournament. The hitting was great and that is something to build off of. Pitching, I have to shut the door a little bit better than what I did today. Kandice (Irwin) did great coming in. I left runners on base for her, but she slammed the door. We worked together great. We just have to get even better."

"It is really good that our offense stepped up, especially going into the tournament because we need that momentum. I don't know what the difference was today compared to the last couple weeks, but we are going to bring it to the tournament."
