CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - One of the many events on the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga homecoming schedule is the 11th annual softball Blue-Gold Game beginning at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday at Frost Stadium. There is a slight twist to this year's event as the Lady Mocs take on a team of alumni. Admission to the event is free.

The festivities begin with a banner presentation and ring ceremony as Chattanooga looks back on its most successful season in program history that culminated with a No. 2 seed at the NCAA Tuscaloosa Regional and advancing to the finals, the furthest any Lady Mocs team has reached. Chattanooga additionally captured its fifth-straight and 13th overall Southern Conference Regular Season Championship and 11th SoCon Tournament Title, while advancing to the program's eighth NCAA Regional.

Last season, Chattanooga had the most prolific offense in school history that was fueled by Tiffany Baker (East Ridge, Tenn.) and Michelle Fuzzard (Huntington Beach, Calif.). Baker completed her four-year career a top of the Chattanooga and SoCon all-time home run list with 50, while Fuzzard posted a Lady Mocs and SoCon single-season record with 75 RBI.

Leading off for the Alumni in the circle will by Ashley Frizzell before the Lady Mocs pitching staff in Fuzzard and freshmen Taylor Deason (Clarksville, Tenn.) and Brittany Perez (Miami, Fla.) take over to complete the exhibition pitching to both sides.

The entire Alumni roster can be viewed below as it will be an opportunity for the current Lady Mocs to meet some of the programs prominent alumni.

Following the scrimmage ending around 1 p.m., the Lady Mocs RBI Club will provide a free cookout for the fans in attendance. This is an excellent time for spectators to meet their favorite Lady Moc and also get to know the six newcomers on the squad.

Afterwards, fans are encouraged to attend the Chattanooga volleyball match at Maclellan Gym at 2 p.m., against College of Charleston before heading down to Finley Stadium for the Mocs football game against Western Carolina at 6 p.m. The Chattanooga softball team will be additionally honored prior to kickoff at the football game around 5:40 p.m.

This is the final tune up for the Lady Mocs this fall, but the team will continue preparing for the spring season, which is set to being in February.
