TEAM
- Chattanooga lose 67-56 at Mercer...UTC is now 2-7, the Bears 7-3.

- 60th meeting between the two teams...the Mocs are 29-31 all-time against CofC, 9-22 in Macon...the series favors Mercer 3-2 since UTC's move to DI in 1977-78.

- Head Coach John Shulman is 123-113 in his 8th season at Chattanooga...he is 0-1 against the Bears.

- Chattanooga was last 2-7 to start a season in 2008-09...that team went on the share the Southern Conference North Division Title and win the SoCon Tournament Championship going on to the NCAA Tournament.

- Mocs made six of first nine shots and five of first six 3pt attempts to build a 13-point lead, 17-4, at 14:19...hit 13 of 40 from the field (32.5%), three of 15 (20%) from three the rest of the way.

- UTC had two long shooting droughts...went without a field goal from 8:28 until 2:47 in the first half (6:41) and then waited another 10:40 until the next basket at 12:07 of the second half.

- The free throw line was a key in the second half...Mocs shot 5-14 (35.7%), while the Bears were 16-20 (80.0%)...that's an 11-point difference.

INDIVIDUAL
Senior Keegan Bell
- 8 assists tonight...became the 3rd Mocs student-athlete in the DI era (1977-78) to accumulate 400 assists in a career...No. 400 came on a feed inside to Chris Early at 10:29 in the first half.
- 44th career 5+ assist games...has five or more in all games to date.

Senior Omar Wattad
- 20 points on 7-15 FG, 3-9 3pt and 3-4 FT.
- 27th double figure scoring night, 6th this season.
- 2nd 20-point effort of the season, 9th career.

Senior Ricky Taylor
- 11 points on 4-10 FG, 3-4 3pt and 0-1 FT.
- Now has 945 career points...one point short of Benny Green (1988-89) is 20th with 946,
- 8th double digit scoring game of season, 53rd career.
- Now tied for 8th all-time in 3pt FGM with 128 with John Oliver (1994-96).
- Ninth in career three-point attempts with 367 passing Oliver.
