UNCG won the doubles point, but UTC did post an impressive win at No. 1 singles.  With the point already decided, sophomore Alexa Flynn (Memphis, Tenn.) and freshman Kaylene Chadwell (Franklin, Tenn.) defeated Lucy Dougherty and Niltooli Wilkins 8-6.  Niltooli and Wilkins came into the match ranked No. 66 in the nation with a 16-7 record as a tandem. 

Flynn tied the match at 1-1 with a win at No. 2 singles.  She defeated Dilara Yurtkuran (6-3, 6-2) to improve to 8-3 in dual matches.  UNCG responded with wins at No. 3 and No. 5 to go up 3-1. 

Junior Emily Hangstefer (Signal Mountain, Tenn.) kept the Lady Mocs alive with a tough win at No. 4.  She took down Annette Rios (6-4, 7-6 (7-5)) to improve to 13-5 overall and 6-4 at No. 4. 

The Spartans closed out the match with a win at No. 1.  Freshman Claire Mulyadi (Semarang, Indonesia) dropped the only thee-setter of the day (3-6, 6-2, 7-6 (7-1)) to Stephanie Falcon at No. 6. 

Chattanooga has a quick turnaround this week.  They are back on the UTC Tennis Courts hosting Elon on Tuesday, March 20.  First serve is set for 2:00 p.m. (E.D.T.) and a link for live scoring is available on the women's tennis schedule page on GoMocs.com.
