Box Score The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's tennis team scored a 7-0 win at Western Carolina this afternoon. The Mocs won the seven contested matches in Cullowhee, N.C., for their 10th team win in a row.
UTC improved to 17-2 overall and 5-0 in Southern Conference action. WCU only fielded five spots and Chattanooga won each singles match in straight sets.
Junior Kayla Jones and freshman Samantha Caswell improved to 15-2 at No. 1 singles. Junior Alison Storie and sophomore Rachele Gazzola moved up to No. 2 doubles for a win.
Jones won her seventh in a row at No. 1 singles, while Caswell won her eighth-straight at No. 4. Junior Kelsey Coots and seniors Kaylene Chadwell and Claire Mulyadi also had singles wins.
The Mocs are back in action this weekend, traveling to Mercer on Sunday, April 12. Match time is set for 1:00 p.m.
