Craine Earns All-American Recognition

Five Mocs have been named All-American in 2016.

University of Tennessee at Chattanooga senior running back Derrick Craine was named third team All-American by HeroSports.com today.  He is the fifth Moc to receive national recognition for their play in the 2016 season.

Craine is a two-time first team All-Southern Conference running back who has rushed for over 1,000 yards in each of the last two seasons.  After setting a school record with 1,251 yards in 2015, he posted 1,083 despite missing two games with an injury in 2016.

Craine, a native of McDonough, Ga., also had 12 rushing touchdowns and a career-high 6.2 yards per carry this season.  He is the third Moc with multiple 1,000 yard seasons and his 31 career rushing TDs are second all-time at UTC.  His 2,997 career rushing yards are fifth in the Mocs' record book.

Also on the HeroSports.com All-American squad is senior Keionta Davis.  Davis is already a consensus All-American selection after leading the SoCon with 10.5 sacks.

Senior linebacker Nakevion Leslie was also recognized on the second team.  It was his second All-American selection of the postseason.

Senior offensive lineman Corey Levin has also made numerous All-American teams.  Junior offensive lineman Jacob Revis is the fifth with a third team nod from College Sports madness.
